Event: 2005 Canada-Wide Science Fair

Roland Troke Barriault is from Kingston-Greenwood, Nova Scotia. For his science fair project at École Rose-des-Vents he tested polymers extracted from disposable diapers for their ability to absorb different liquids.

He won a gold medal and best in fair at the Annapolis Valley Regional Science Fair for his project, and participated in the Canada-Wide Science Fair in Vancouver, British Columbia. Roland thinks a career in chemistry, engineering or teaching may be right for him.

He's one of Nova Scotia's young scientists, and one of tomorrow's innovators. Congratulations, Roland!
