Knock Out: The Momentum of Kickboxers Punches

Student: Robert Barrett

District/Region: Cape Breton-Victoria Region

Event: 2010 Canada-Wide Science Fair

Grade 10 - Riverview High School

For this project I designed and built an adaptation of ballistic pendulum that could withstand and measure the momentum of kick boxers' punches.

I used this instrument to conduct an experiment to determine the degree to which proper technique instruction increases the momentum of kick boxers' punches.
