Stephanie MacDonald, 18, & Ashley MacLellan, 17, are from Whycocomagh, Nova Scotia. For their science fair project at Dalbrae Academy, they investigated if coffee grounds have the potential to become a recyclable, cost-effective fuel source.

They won first place for their project, and participated in the Canada-Wide Science Fair in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. Stephanie and Ashley both say they would like to study medicine.

They are two of Nova Scotia's young scientists, and two of tomorrow's innovators. Congratulations, Stephanie & Ashley!
