Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!

Student: Erin Smith

Event: 2013 Canada-Wide Science Fair

Grade 8 - Bayview Community School

On average in Canada there is 229cm of snow every year. Snow is seen as a nuisance because it takes time energy and money to remove it. Scientists predict that due to global warming there will be less snow but more intense blizzards. This experiment shows that melted snow could be used to produce clean energy that could offset the average household winter heating bill.
