The Physics of Show Jumping

Student: Kendra d'Eon

District/Region: Tri-County District

Event: 2007 Canada-Wide Science Fair

Kendra is a student at Shelburne Regional High School and for her science fair project Kendra developed a mathematical model for horse show jumping competitors.

Her conclusion: the use of a mathematical formula can improve a horse show jumper's chnace of winning.

Kendra's project earned her a Bronze Medal in Physical and Mathematical Sciences and a University of Western Ontario Scholarship at the 2007 Canada-Wide Science Fair in Truro. Kendra is a young Nova Scotian celebrating science and discovery. Congratulations Kendra!
