It's All About The Moulting Cycle

Student: Nolan Symonds

District/Region: Tri-County District

Event: 2009 Canada-Wide Science Fair

Grade 9 - Barrington Municipal High School

Countlessly I've heard the many wives tails of my fishing community. One that peaked my curiosity states that any lobster with a swollen, discoloured stomach signifies the lobster is starting or finishing the moulting process.

I wanted to link three influential factors of the lobster; THP levels, swollen / discoloured stomachs, and the moult cycle to conclude that the wives tail is false or valid.
